Ansar website had perpetuated the common lie that the Shia killed Imam Hussain (as). In this refutation we shall analyse the facts of history to expose the fallacy of such a claim. Their argument can be summarised as follows The Shi’a invited Imam Hussain (as) by writing letters and requesting that he come to Kufa so that they can recognise him as their Imam. Imam Hussain (as) sent Muslim bin Aqeel (as) as his representative to assess the situation The Shi’a gave bayya to Imam Hussain via Hadhrath Muslim bin Aqeel (as). The same Shi’a subsequently abandoned him following the entry of Abdullah ibn Ziyad. The Shi’a failed to support Imam Hussain (as) as a result he was killed. The approach we have taken is to focus on the historical sources in detail and then identify and expose the beliefs of the Kufan people.

1- The personality born through the prayer of Imam We intend to relate the incident of one of the greatest Shia scholars of the fourth century, who had earned the title of Muallim (teacher). His book, Man la Yahzaruhul Faqih is one of the four canonical books of Shi'ite hadith. It is an indispensable work of reference by the mujtahids of Shia faith. The exalted position of Shaykh Sadooq (died 381 A.H.) can be gauged from the fact that he was born through the prayers of Imam-e-Zamana (a.s.), may our lives be sacrificed for him. Throughout his life he was the center of Hazrat's attention and favours... the incident is as follows: The father of Shaykh Sadooq (R.A) was known by the name of Ali Ibn Babawayh. He was one of the well-known jurisprudent and scholar of hadith in the city of Qum . Though he had been married to his cousin for a number of years he was not yet blessed with any children.

Seventy days before his demise, when Prophet Muhammad was returning to Medina after his last pilgrimage to Mecca, he reached the pond of Khum (Ghadir Khum) near Juhfa. It was the 18th of the month of Dhul-Hijja of the year 10 AH (March 15, 632 AD). By this time, the Prophet had conveyed all of the divine commandments to his nation except for the formal and explicit public announcement of his divinely appointed successors as the leaders, guardians, and guides for the believers for all days to come.

"This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion." This is what Almighty God revealed to His Prophet (a.s) in Ghadir Khumm, favoring mankind with a perfect religion. Believing in Islam as the most perfect religion requires not only a life in accord with its principles but also a constant attempt to discover the reality and spirit of it.

The differences between Shia and non-Shia Muslims have a very long history. They started many centuries ago; in fact immediately after the death of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w. But even then, during the period of the first two Caliphs (Abubakar and 'Umar) these differences did not cause as much controversy and ill feelings as they did during the last two Caliphs ('Uthman and 'Ali). The reasons as to why it was so are outside our current topic; I therefore do not intend to deal with them here.

What is religion ? Religion means a particular system of faith and worship. When we believe in something strongly and firmly, we say it is my religion. So by definition, if we do not act in accordance to our religious faith and belief, it means that we do not really believe in that religion. If we do things against the teachings of our religion then it means that we do not have faith in our religion. The Holy Quran has told us about such people.

The style of story telling, that the Holy Quran adopts is considered to be one of its miracles. In addition, this style has a tremendous effect on making the reader interested in reading. A story is better understood and not easily forgotten while mere words are easily forgotten. Stories are easily absorbed without taxing the brain.

Intense fanaticism, blind following, undue respect shown to so-called pious individuals of the nation and lack of courage in investigating the life history, morals and mentality accompanied by a careful survey and discussion of all aspects of the period in which they lived, have been major factors for the Muslims' indigence, and the reason for the dispersion and retardation of the Islamic society.
